Cap d'Antibes

Amenities

The 25km stretch of coastline between Antibes and Juan les Pins has 48 beaches, many of which are private, making the area is well equipped for all kinds of water sports and sailing.  One of the larger beaches, the Plage de la Garoupe is where Picasso came to sketch and has wonderful views of the Mercantour mountains as well as the fortified walls of the town of Antibes.

Juan des Pins has some of the area’s best sandy beaches and is also full of good boutiques, cafes and restaurants as well was being particularly noted for its nightlife.

Antibes has a slightly more laid back atmosphere and holds a daily market in the morning (closed Mondays) which sells fresh fish, spices, cheese, fruit and vegetables, while in the afternoons there is a craft market with local artisans selling and exhibiting paintings, ceramics and sculpture. For those wishing to soak up the amazing natural landscape of Cap d’Antibes by foot there are several winding nature trails which cut through and around the edge of the peninsula offering spectacular vistas of the coast.
