Grande Odyssée (Jan)

Considered the most difficult husky race in the world, the Grande Odyssée passes through Megève each January as part of the 2 week competition which sees teams from all over the world cross the Alps, covering a total of more than 1000km and a height difference of 25,000m. The 5km Megève challenge is a highlight on the town’s calendar and also gives spectators the opportunity to meet the 250 dogs that make up the sled teams.

Vacheron Constantin Snow Golf Cup (Feb)

This 4-day event presents 4 separate snow golf competitions and is held at the golf course of the prestigious Mont d’Arbois hotel. A unique occasion, the upscale tournament draws a large number of visitors who come not only for the golf but also for the range of social events that take place around the town.

Megève Jazz Contest (July)

Megève’s lively jazz weekend is open to amateur musicians, bands and orchestras who compete in a selection of venues around the town and even on the mountain terraces. Although the participants are vying for victory before a panel of judges, the atmosphere is friendly and the competition brings a convivial and joyous New Orleans atmosphere to the Alps.
