Crans-Montana

Crans-Montana is considered to be one of the best shopping destinations in the Alps and there are no fewer than 170 shops in the town, many of which are dedicated to luxury brands. There are all of the best names in international fashion and jewellery, as well as shops selling the gastronomic specialities of the region. There is also a great choice of restaurants in the town with over 90 enticing restaurants most of which offer the best of the Valais cuisine and excellent wines in a refined setting. Don’t miss the typical raclette cheese.

In addition to shopping and food, Crans-Montana also has another long-held tradition: golf. Well-known by golf enthusiasts, the resort has some high-quality courses such as the ‘Severiano Ballesteros’, an 18-hole course with a spectacular view of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc which hosts the Omega European Masters. As an alternative the ‘Jack Nicklaus’ is a 9-hole course, which can satisfy the requirements of most golfers.

There is plenty of entertainment in the heart of the village with a modern style casino, bars and nightclubs which will occupy night owls until the early hours. But there are also more tranquil and refined bars and restaurants for those looking for quieter evenings.
