Crans-Montana

Local Transportation

Crans-Montana does not have its own airport but just 30km away is the airport of Sion which caters for both private planes and the airline SWISS International which runs flights during the winter season, including several routes to and from the UK. Other international flights arrive at Geneva airport which is 180km away or Milan Malpensa at 220km.

Train is a convenient way to travel to the town as there are direct links to Bâle, Berne, Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich. There are also fast rail routes between Switzerland and other major European cities.

By car, the A9 motorway links Crans-Montana with the city of Martigny and then further roads into France and Italy.

Lastly there is also a funicular which connects with the nearby town of Sierre twice an hour.
